Narragansett 2100 introduces a new initiative to improve the quality of life in Narragansett
Narragansett 2100, a non-profit organization of landlords with rental property in Narragansett and Narragansett property managers, has introduced a program this Fall to help connect URI students who rent in Narragansett with their neighbors.
This is part of Narragansett 2100’s umbrella ‘Hello Neighbor’ initiative and consists of a card encouraging students to meet their neighbors and to provide them with the student’s name and cell phone number. The purpose of the card is for neighbors to be able to contact the students directly should there be any noise or other issues. It also encourages a dialog between students and their neighbors.
URI students have a significant positive economic impact on Narragansett. This program will encourage URI students to behave in a proper manner as responsible residents in Narragansett. It also encourages a positive interaction between students and local residents and promotes a partnership to improve the quality of life in Narragansett.
